Job description

The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon. We are looking for a Finance Manager to drive financial excellence for NA Fresh, including month-end close, financial reporting, financial reviews, controllership, and reporting automation.
As the reporting lead of NA Fresh, you will play as a pivotal role in partnering regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across Amazon Grocery, Whole Foods Market, Amazon Grocery Logistic, often at some with the most senior levels within the company. This leader will own the financial narrative for NA Fresh performance, provide strategic insights to the business team, and drive accountability across the organization


Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional who thrives in ambiguity, has a bias for action, and demonstrates a proven track record of delivering results through cross-functional partnership.
* Own the consolidation of the NA Fresh P&L, providing inputs, analysis, and storytelling to leaderships
* Lead all financial reporting for NA Fresh, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders
* Support the weekly, monthly, and quarterly finance reviews, delivering compelling financial narratives and strategic recommendations
* Drive month-end close processes, partnering with Accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial results
* Establish and enhance controllership practices, including internal controls, variance analysis, and financial governance
* Lead new reporting mechanism to support growing cross-banner reporting requests, enabling comparisons with other grocery banners and across categories
* Ensure data fidelity across critical reporting systems (Cognos, Discovery, Redshift, PS Decks, Balto)
* Partner with product team to drive automation and scale of new financial reporting.
* Lead key analytical projects that influence senior leadership decision-making
A day in the life
We are looking for an strong L6 Finance Manager with strong modeling skills and financial acumen. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is passionate about the customer experience, who thinks/acts globally, and who will contribute with strategic and impactful reporting

This role requires a self-starter with bar raising skills in financial modelling and project management, as well as a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations. They will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring extensive use of data modeling and analysis, as well as working with stakeholders across the org to operationalize and scale new and existing reporting processes and tools. They need to be a proficient communicator and writer, and be able to consolidate complex strategies into a concise and simple narrative for the NA Fresh leadership (L10s and L8s).
This role garners high visibility with regular interactions with various finance, business and tech teams and leaders across Amazon to grow your career and scope.
