Job description

Position Purpose

Under the general direction of financial leadership in partnership with other Finance Teams and working with other leaders throughout the organization, this position provides financial support, financial reporting and analyses in partnership with Renown Health Leaders in management of annual capital and operating budgets, execution of strategic plan. Through these duties, the analyst is expected to identify opportunities for cost-saving, revenue enhancing opportunities in the day-to-day operations of the facility and provide educational support to leaders and establish tracking and trending reports to be utilized by all levels of management. The position will be flexible as to what specific duties are performed in support of the Director, Operational Leaders and other key stakeholders.

Nature and Scope

This position requires working knowledge of many financial systems and databases and how they relate to the financial reporting within Renown’s financial processes. This position has many assignments and provides information to many individuals; therefore, the incumbent must have the ability to organize and prioritize projects to ensure that deadlines are met and to respond to customers in a timely and effective manner. Included in these projects are ongoing and ad hoc financial analysis, financial statement reporting and pro forma development to provide financial information for decision making for Managers, Directors and Senior Management in all departments.

The position is responsible to provide support to senior Finance team members who are responsible for projects such as annual benchmarking data submittal, interprets reimbursement impact, cost accounting, contractual and bad debt reserves and/or provider compensation.

The major challenges of this position are to ensure that financial information is accurately and timely reported and supporting leadership throughout Renown Health with financial analysis covering a breadth of topics.

The incumbent must have effective organizational, communication and presentation skills. This position will have access to propriety information. This mandates high standards of professionalism, communications, performance, and respect for confidentiality.

• Ability to speak in front of small and large groups.
