Job description

Position Title: Financial Management Analyst
Location: El Segundo, CA
Clearance: Active Secret required
U.S. Citizenship required

We are seeking a Financial Management Analyst to provide high-level financial research, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting in support of government space programs. This role requires extensive experience inDoD financial management,with an emphasis on budget execution, compliance, and financial reporting within the military, Space Systems Command (SSC), Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), or government contractor environments. Experience with Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) or Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) programs is a plus.The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in financial management systems such as CCAR, DEAMS, GAFS, FM Suite, and WAWF, and will be responsible for data reconciliation, reporting, policy implementation, and process optimizationto enhance financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth financial research and data reconciliation across multiple systems and reports.

  • Interpret complex financial data and generate multiple recommended courses of action to support leadership decision-making.

  • Develop and manage financial staffing packages, ensuring compliance with DoD financial policies and regulations.

  • Comprehend and apply financial concepts, guidance, and policies into daily operations.

  • Effectively implement DoD financial management instructions and policies in routine performance.

  • Utilize financial systems such as CCAR, GAFS, FM Suite, and WAWF for tracking and managing financial transactions.

  • Develop tools and applications to foster efficiency and automation in financial activities.

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Support financial planning, budget execution, and forecasting for government space programs.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 10 years of direct experience in DoD financial management, preferably supporting space programs.

    • Experience working in government (military and/or civil servant), FFRDCs, or government contractor environments.

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience reconciling complex financial data.

    • Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools, including CCAR, GAFS, FM Suite, and WAWF.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with government personnel and stakeholders.

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)for data analysis and reporting.

    • Location: Hybrid – El Segundo, CA

    • Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Security Clearance
