Job Summary
In this market-facing position, you'll analyze and underwrite new and renewal business while working closely with wholesale brokers and clients. You'll own and grow your book of business, ensuring profitable performance while delivering Everest's products and services with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and consistency with underwriting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

  • You will support the growth of a profitable and diversified portfolio, including D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime lines of business.
  • You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of underwriting authorities and guidelines.
  • You will solicit and analyze new business opportunities aligned with underwriting guidelines while maintaining portfolio profitability.
  • You will underwrite and execute renewals, ensuring high service standards in a cost-effective manner.
  • You will develop and maintain strong business relationships with wholesale brokers and clients.
  • You will assist in the development of underwriting products and marketing materials.
  • You will collaborate and coordinate with other departments, including management, claims, and actuarial teams.
  • You will contribute to the ongoing analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures.
  • You will provide support and assistance to other members of the underwriting team as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You bring 6+ years of Financial Lines underwriting experience, with demonstrated subject-matter expertise and strong industry relationships.
  • You possess excellent analytical and computer skills, with the ability to assess financial stability.
  • You have knowledge of the current D&O insurance market and the wholesale broker community.
  • You demonstrate strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
  • You consistently maintain excellent broker relationships while delivering high-quality service.
  • You ensure compliance with internal policies, external management standards, and regulatory controls.
  • You excel at time management and problem-solving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $190,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
