Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant specializing in Estates and Trusts to support attorneys in all aspects of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. The ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of legal documentation, and the ability to manage sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.

Job Description:

The Legal Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal teams, ensuring efficient operation of legal processes. This role involves preparing legal documents, conducting research, managing schedules, and maintaining legal files with accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, format, and proofread estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
  • Assist with probate and trust administration, including preparation and filing of court documents
  • Maintain and organize client files, both physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and courts regarding case status and documentation requirements
  • Schedule client meetings, attorney calendars, and court dates
  • Conduct basic legal research related to estate and trust matters
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and follow-ups
