Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a driven, hands-on IT Finance analyst to provide support, maintenance, and optimization of Finance and Accounting applications. This role requires in-depth expertise in SAP FI/CO, strong troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and hands-on experience with the SAP system, third-party integrations, and custom developments. You will act as a liaison between business units and IT, and lead incident resolutions, system enhancements, and day-to-day production support in the finance, controlling, and accounting areas.  
 
This role will focus on developing and stabilizing FI/CO processes by leading the analysis and design of solutions in the SAP FI/CO area, with close collaboration with the finance and accounting user community and stakeholders. This role also provides daily operational support to business end users to ensure business continuity and efficient financial operations. Exposure to SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration is a huge plus; they must have the ability to define the accounting solution design in SAP S/4HANA to support the business transformation journey.

Compensation

$125k-$155k DOE

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise on SAP FI/CO, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO). and Contract and Lease Management (CLM) 
  • Oversee 1st line support for SAP Finance applications, ensuring quick issue resolution and minimal downtime
  • User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and custom reports
  • Manage SAP Finance-related interfaces and ensure smooth data flow between SAP and external systems
  • Support the business with month-end activities and reconciliation
  • Assist business users with the annual budgeting process as needed
  • Manage financial closing automation solutions and electronic banking/payment interfaces
  • Support the Contract and Lease Management process in SAP
  • Collaborate with ABAP developer to enhance, debug, and optimize custom programs based on requirements in the SAP Finance space
  • Assist in data migrations, LSMW, and BAPI-based updates for finance-related transactions
  • Act as the primary escalation point for SAP Finance technical issues, and drive problem management and root cause analysis for recurring SAP Finance issues
  • Liaise with business stakeholders and external vendors to implement system improvements and resolve technical challenges
  • Identify opportunities for system automation and process optimization in the SAP Finance and accounting area
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal IT security policies related to SAP Finance
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA migrations or Finance transformation projects
  • Keep up to date with SAP Finance innovations, S/4HANA, BTP, and emerging technologies
Education

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field, combination of education and work experience

Requirements/Qualifications
  • SAP FI/CO Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
    • Emphasis on Product Costing, Profit and Cost Center Accounting, CO planning and Budgeting, Order Settlement, Project Systems
    • Good understanding of master data setup (G/L, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Accounting Views in Customer/Vendor Setup) 
    • Previous experience in Bank and Interface Setup a plus
    • Previous experience with SAP CLM (Contract and Lease Management) a plus 
    • Previous experience with Financial Performance Management tools a plus 
  • SAP ABAP Debugging & Enhancements: Understanding of BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, RFCs, and custom reports
  • SAP Integrations: Experience with IDocs, ALE, BAPI, Web Services, and third-party financial system integrations
  • SAP Security & Authorizations: Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), and audit compliance
  • SAP Workflow & Automation: Experience with workflow configurations, job scheduling, and financial closing automation tools
  • Data Migration & Interfaces: Hands-on experience with LSMW and BAPI uploads, and custom data conversion programs
  • Familiarity with the integration points between SAP FICO and MM, SD and HCM modules preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills: Professional and positive in interactions with others, and the ability to build good working relationships
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization
  • A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus, self-motivated, and driven

Preferred:

  • SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO) experience or certification
  • Experience with Treasury & Risk Management (TRM) or Bank Communication Management (BCM)
  • CLM (REFx) experience is a huge plus
  • SAP experience with S/4HANA is a plus
