Job description

We're seeking an experienced Franchise Development Director to drive the growth of one of our nationally recognized franchise brands. This is a relationship-driven sales role where you'll partner with candidates, helping them evaluate business ownership while guiding them through a structured franchise sales process from initial inquiry through franchise award.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a disciplined sales environment and consistently delivers results through consultative selling. If you've excelled in franchise development, or other complex consultative sales environments, we'd love to speak with you.
What You'll Do
As a Franchise Development Director, you will:
  • Guide qualified franchise candidates through every stage of our proven franchise development process, from initial inquiry through franchise award.
  • Conduct comprehensive discovery conversations to understand each candidate's personal goals, business experience, motivations, financial qualifications, and long-term vision for business ownership.
  • Evaluate candidate fit by asking thoughtful, probing questions that uncover motivations, identify potential concerns, and determine readiness to move forward.
  • Perform ongoing "temperature checks" throughout the sales process to assess engagement, commitment, urgency, and likelihood of moving to the next stage.
  • Assess financial readiness by discussing funding sources financing options, investment expectations, and overall financial capability while partnering with financing resources as needed.
  • Listen actively for opportunities to dig deeper, clarify concerns, overcome objections, and address hesitation with confidence and professionalism.
  • Educate prospective franchise owners on the brand, business model, investment opportunity, operational expectations, and what it takes to become a successful franchisee.
  • Build trust through a highly consultative, relationship-focused sales approach that positions you as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional salesperson.
  • Manage a robust pipeline of qualified candidates using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate forecasting, and consistent movement through each phase of the development process.
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up while balancing multiple candidates at various stages of the sales cycle without sacrificing the candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless, professional, and engaging candidate journey.
  • Consistently achieve monthly and annual franchise sales goals while maintaining the integrity of the franchise development process and ensuring only qualified candidates advance.
Why Join Us?
You'll become part of a collaborative, high-performing team that is passionate about helping people to achieve business ownership while expanding one of the industry's leading franchise organizations.
This is an opportunity to:
  • Work with qualified, motivated franchise candidates
  • Sell a respected, proven franchise opportunity
  • Join an established organization with a strong reputation
  • Make a meaningful impact on the growth of a nationally recognized brand
  • Build a rewarding career with significant earning potential based on performance
Qualifications include:
  • Proven success in intangible or consultative sales with a documented record of exceeding quotas.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple decision points.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to discuss financial performance, business ownership, and investment opportunities.
  • Excellent closing skills built on trust, credibility, and effective communication.
  • Pipeline management and follow-up discipline.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage activities, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Outstanding presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and driven by achieving measurable results.
Previous franchise development experience is highly preferred but not required. Candidates with successful backgrounds selling complex, intangible, or high-value solutions are encouraged to apply.
