The Opportunity

We are lookingfor an accomplished Financial Accountant to join our Finance teamas part of our financial services businessin Montreal.

As part of our Montreal team you will:

  • Preparation of variance analysis, balance sheet analysis and supporting schedules, and any relevant analytical review
  • Collaboration with the finance team in delivering monthly management accounts, year-end audits and annual audited financial statement for multiple legal entities, including stand alone and consolidated structures
  • Supporting the shared services centre over the review of invoice coding and ensuring adherence to budgets
  • Participation in intercompany billing cycle, accounts receivable provisioning, and monitoring of all client balances for the respective business units
  • Participation in annual budgeting and forecasting, as well as various initiatives, projects and ad-hoc analysis

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • The successful candidate will have a university degree in accounting or finance. A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA or equivalent) would be an asset;
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years' relevant experience in accounting in industry or audit firms with a leading accountancy practice;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent written and oral English);
  • Ability to display analytical and pragmatic thinking;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
  • The successful candidate will have excellent time management, proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines, organizational and prioritization skills;
  • The position requires the ability to deal with all levels of staff including those in foreign offices

Votre contribution

En plus d'une autonomie et de normes en matiere d'ethique incontestablement elevees, le candidat ideal possedera les caracteristiques suivantes:

  • Le candidat retenu aura un diplome universitaire en comptabilite ou en finance; un titre professionnel en comptabilite (ACCA/ACA/CPA ou equivalent) constituerait un atout;
  • Un minimum de deux a trois ans d'experience pertinente en comptabilite dans le secteur ou dans des cabinets de verificateurs ayant un grand cabinet comptable;
  • Excellentes competences en communication, tant a l'oral qu'a l'ecrit (parle et ecrit l'anglais couramment);
  • Capacite a faire preuve d'un esprit analytique et pragmatique;
  • Capacite a travailler dans un environnement dynamique;
  • Maitrise de Microsoft Office et ayant des competences avancees en Microsoft Excel;
  • Une excellente gestion du temps et une capacite averee a respecter des delais stricts, ainsi que des competences en matiere d'organisation et d'etablissement des priorites;
