Company Description:
Our Multi-Unit Services client is looking for a strong Controller who will partner with the CEO and Owner. You will implement internal controls, support multi-site operations, and work cross-functionally with various team members. Their ideal candidate must have progressive accounting experience and come from a Retail and/or Multi-site industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory and cost accounting related to vehicle upfitting and equipment installation
  • Interact with operational departments to gather all relevant financial data to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.
  • Work directly with the Company to lead technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation on current and proposed transactions in relation to mergers.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting package and variance analysis.
  • Communicate with key business leaders and play an active role in the monthly actuals vs. budget review meetings.
  • Assist with annual external audit and sales & use tax compliance and audits. Complete requested materials and assist in preparing assigned schedules and gathering requested support for the audits.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Planning team and assist in the forecast and budgeting process.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement efforts to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of month end close.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that accounting information is accurate and timely.
  • Contribute to departments and Company on special projects.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree
  • Multi-Site industry experience (preferably Retail) is required.
  • ERP Experience such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Deep analytical capabilities, with advanced Excel expertise
  • Capacity to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
