The Network Visibility Finance Controller will provide strong analytical and leadership skills to develop and implement financial plans and forecasts, processes, analysis, and insights required to achieve strategic, financial, and operational objectives. This role will serve as a key business partner to the Network Visibility leadership team (including R&D and Marketing leaders), Sales, Revenue Operations, Order Fulfillment, etc.  This role will work closely with other members in the Communication Solutions Group Finance team also. 


Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Full Profit & Loss responsibility and financial compliance for Network Visibility 
  • Provide financial leadership, support, analysis, and consulting to all levels of management decision-makers 
  • Short- and long-term forecasting and planning 
  • Implement effective OPEX controls to improve business profitability and streamline operations by optimizing resource utilization
  • Identify financial opportunities to improve profitability and achieve strategic goals
  • Manage Headcount reporting and forecasting in line with the strategic & financial planning objectives

Financial Oversight:

  • Provide financial support for R&D focusing on New Product Introductions (NPI) , portfolio analysis and projects
  • Work closely with R&D Managers/Project Managers in the portfolio planning process 
  • Provide financial support to marketing functions including Go-To-Market, Business Development and Product Management teams

Revenue and Gross Margin Analysis:

  • Conduct revenue, cost of sales, and gross margin analysis in accordance with business objectives.
  • Evaluate gross margins by product and identify opportunities to improve results 

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX  
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting activities, including participation in external financial reporting 
  • Coordinating and support Internal audit reviews, as required

Business Insight and Deal Approvals:

  • Offer business insights and approve solutions for deals, enterprise agreements (contracts, SOWs). This entails collaborating with Revenue Compliance leads and the Legal/Contracts team to review non-standard terms and conditions.
  • Manage global margin-based quote approvals to ensure alignment with financial objectives and customer expectations

Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures:

  • Provide financial support for the initial phases of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Support integration/divestiture activities pre and post deal close

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Demonstrated industry experience integrating the resources of several complex departments or functions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g. generative AI, data copilots, etc.) to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support.
  • Broad knowledge base with proven functional and/or organizational leadership experience. Typically requires 7 years of progressively increasing experience
  • Strong quanitative and analytical skills with the ability to apply business judgment and draw conclusions on limited information 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence results through business partners
