Plant Controller
We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to serve as a key business partner to plant leadership and Division Finance. In this highly visible role, you will lead all financial activities for the plant, ensuring strong financial performance, operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines deep manufacturing finance expertise with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
1. Financial Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Lead all plant financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Partner closely with Plant Leadership and Division Finance to support business objectives and long-term strategic plans.
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to drive informed business decisions.

2. Cost Management & Profitability
  • Monitor plant performance through detailed financial and operational analysis.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives that improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze variances and key performance indicators, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Support leaders in achieving financial targets and operational excellence.

3. Operations & Inventory Finance
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to align financial and operational goals.
  • Ensure accurate inventory accounting and support cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
  • Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining strong financial controls.

4. Capital Investment & Financial Planning
  • Evaluate, monitor, and support capital expenditure projects.
  • Ensure investments align with business strategy and deliver expected financial returns.
  • Provide financial analysis and business case support for strategic initiatives.

5. Compliance, Controls & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, risk management, and continuous improvement.

6. Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop the plant finance team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Build organizational capability through process improvement, standardization, and best practices.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably within manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing financial operations and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Availability to work on site 4 days a week in Tremonton
