Job description

About the Position:

Firstย Internet Bankย providesย paid internship opportunities designed to give students hands-on experience in a professional banking environment and real-world exposure to the financial industry. As the Finance Intern, you will be assigned to a finance, lending, credit, portfolio management, sales, or operations-related business area. You will contribute to meaningful work,ย collaborateย with team members, andย buildย an understanding of how their assigned area supports the Bank and its customers. Specific training, projects, systems, and learningย objectivesย will be defined through a department-specific onboarding plan.

What You Will Do:

  • Learn the responsibilities, workflows, and businessย purposeย of the assigned department through structured training, observation, and hands-on assignments.ย ย 
  • Assistย with financial, credit, portfolio, operational, market, or business analysisย appropriate toย the assigned area.ย ย 
  • Support recurring reporting, account or portfolio review, reconciliations, documentation, data management, and other department processes as assigned.ย ย 
  • Conduct research, organize information, and helpย identifyย trends, risks, process improvements, or opportunities for greater efficiency.ย ย 
  • Assistย with projects, process implementation, procedure review, file organization, and administrative activities that support department priorities.ย ย 
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Bank andย participateย in internalย meetings;ย whenย appropriate toย the assignment,ย observeย or participate in customer or partner interactions.ย ย 
  • Maintainย accurate, complete, and confidential information while following established Bank policies, procedures, controls, and professional standards.ย ย 
  • Prepare and communicate work products clearly through spreadsheets, reports, presentations, or verbal updates.ย ย 
  • Demonstrate professionalism, curiosity, attention to detail, accountability, and a commitment to quality service for internal and external customers.ย ย 
  • Perform other duties and completeย additionalย learning assignments as requested.ย 

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelorโ€™s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, economics, real estate, professional selling, or a related field.ย ย 
  • Demonstrated interest in banking, finance, accounting, lending, credit, investments, operations, orย a related area.ย ย 
  • Proficiencyย with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.ย ย 
  • Strong organization, data management, analytical, and multitasking skills.ย ย 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.ย ย 
  • High levelย of attention to detail, accuracy, professionalism, and discretion.ย ย 
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned priorities, ask thoughtful questions, and learn new concepts and systems.ย ย 
  • Ability to meet the scheduling expectationsย establishedย for the internship program.ย 

Working Conditions/Demands:

  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
