Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled temporary contractor to support financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical activities. This role requires an individual with advanced technical capabilities, strong financial acumen, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional Excel expertise, experience handling large data sets, and a strong background in financial analysis and business partnership.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver internal financial reporting with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Support forecast consolidation processes, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis, including data extraction, modeling, and interpretation
  • Retrieve and manipulate large volumes of data from financial systems and databases
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel models, including macros and automation tools
  • Assist with accounting-related activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with established financial controls and GAAP standards

Qualifications Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or competency needed for successful performance in the role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, complex formulas, and data modeling
  • Demonstrated experience working with large and complex data sets
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Management Reporter and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proven experience acting as a financial business partner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications Preferred:
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning (Workday Adaptive)
  • Prior experience in a corporate finance or FP&A environment
  • Exposure to financial systems integration or data automation initiatives

Education and/or Experience:
  • Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows:
  • Must hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree with focus in accounting or finance from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.
  • Entry level role requiring 1-3 years experience in corporate accounting
  • Experience with an accounting system preferred.
