POSITION SUMMARY

Entrega is seeking a Project Finance Analyst to support the financial performance, visibility, and discipline of our client engagements and broader business operations.

This role is responsible for analyzing project financial performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting, reconciling financial and operational data, monitoring costs and resource economics, and providing meaningful financial insights to Finance and business leadership. The Project Finance Analyst will work across Finance and operational teams to help ensure leaders have accurate, timely information to understand financial performance and make informed business decisions.

This is a hands-on analytical role for a professional who enjoys working with financial and operational data, identifying trends and variances, solving problems, and improving how financial information is used across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across a growing professional services organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Financial Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze the financial performance of client engagements, including revenue, costs, profitability, resource performance, and other key financial measures.
    • Prepare recurring project and organizational financial reports for Finance and business leadership.
    • Identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities within financial and operational data.
    • Analyze the financial drivers of project performance and provide insights that support informed decision-making.
    • Support the development and reporting of financial and operational key performance indicators.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting
    • Support project and organizational budgeting and forecasting processes through accurate financial analysis and modeling.
    • Collaborate with Finance, delivery, resource, and business teams to gather assumptions and operational inputs required for financial forecasts.
    • Compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts and investigate material variances.
    • Help maintain current financial projections as project demand, staffing, costs, and business conditions change.
    • Provide analysis that helps leadership understand potential financial risks, opportunities, and future performance.
  • Financial & Operational Reconciliation
    • Reconcile financial information across accounting, project, resource, and operational reporting sources.
    • Validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial information used for reporting and analysis.
    • Investigate discrepancies and variances and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to resolve identified issues.
    • Maintain supporting documentation and appropriate records for recurring financial reconciliations and reporting.
    • Help strengthen confidence in financial information through disciplined data validation and follow-through.
  • Cost, Resource & Performance Analysis
    • Analyze project costs, resource economics, utilization, and other performance indicators affecting financial results.
    • Conduct cost-benefit, financial impact, and other analyses to support business and operational decisions.
    • Identify inefficiencies, unfavorable trends, or opportunities to improve resource allocation, cost management, and profitability.
    • Evaluate financial implications of changing project, staffing, or operational conditions.
    • Develop recommendations based on financial and operational analysis.
  • Financial Controls, Compliance & Recordkeeping
    • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
    • Support financial controls related to project reporting, client requirements, and internal financial processes.
    • Assist with audits, financial reviews, client compliance requirements, and other activities by preparing requested information and analysis.
    • Help identify data quality, reporting, or control issues and support their resolution.
    • Handle confidential financial, employee, client, and company information with appropriate discretion, integrity, and professional judgment.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
    • Evaluate financial reporting, reconciliation, and analytical processes for opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, visibility, and control.
    • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and financial workflows.
    • Help develop standardized financial reporting practices, tools, and documentation that support organizational growth.
    • Partner with Finance and operational teams to improve the quality, accessibility, and usefulness of financial information.
    • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting tools, and related processes.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, or a related area preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
    • Experience analyzing financial and operational data and translating findings into meaningful business insights.
    • Experience with financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis tools.
    • Experience within professional services, consulting, technology services, or another project-based business environment preferred.
  • Knowledge & Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate variances, and develop practical recommendations.
    • Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and fundamental accounting principles.
