Purpose:

Reporting to the Director of Valuation, the Investment Senior Analyst will play a key role within Athene's Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (BSCR) team, supporting capital reporting and investment analysis across a complex and growing global platform.
This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of capital, investments, and financial reporting, working closely with stakeholders across Athene and Apollo. You will gain exposure to sophisticated asset strategies, regulatory frameworks, and capital optimization initiatives that directly influence business performance. Athene's partnership with Apollo provides access to industry-leading investment expertise and a differentiated platform driving innovation and global expansion.


Accountabilities:

  • Support the preparation and analysis of BSCR market risk and required capital reporting, including related investment analytics
  • Contribute to enhancements of BSCR methodologies and analytics, identifying opportunities to improve capital efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Partner with Apollo and internal stakeholders on asset analytics, capital reporting, and strategic investment initiatives
  • Monitor regulatory and industry developments related to BSCR and assess potential impacts to reporting and capital requirements
  • Support the development and maintenance of analytics, controls, and governance frameworks to enhance data integrity, transparency, and consistency
  • Contribute to ongoing projects (e.g., LLSBA approvals, asset disclosures) and broader process improvements to modernize and streamline financial reporting


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in investment analysis, capital reporting, FP&A, or financial analysis within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
  • Experience with capital frameworks, asset analytics, or financial reporting; familiarity with BSCR, regulatory capital, or risk-based frameworks is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with data tools (e.g., Python, Power Query) is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or related field; progress toward CPA, CFA, or similar designation preferred

$87,460.00 - $131,190.00 CAD Annual


Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
