Sales Analyst – Firearms / Tactical Industry

Summary

Zev Technologies is seeking a Sales Analyst who can support the revenue growth for the business by transforming sales data, market trends, and customer insights into clear, actionable recommendations. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to improve forecasting accuracy, optimize pricing strategies, and identify opportunities within key accounts and channels. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze sales performance across products, regions, and customer segments to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

Ability to turn raw sales data into insights, trends, and forecasts. Comfortable with large datasets.

Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards for leadership and sales teams.

Support demand forecasting by integrating historical data, market indicators, and sales pipeline information.

Evaluate pricing, promotions, and discount structures to improve margin performance.

Conduct competitive landscape research and summarize market shifts that may impact sales strategy.

Partner with Sales Managers to prepare account reviews, territory plans, and performance insights.

Support sales by analyzing customer segments, buying patterns, and competitive trends.

Monitor inventory levels, product availability, and order patterns to support supply chain alignment.

Identify bottlenecks in the sales funnel and propose data-backed solutions.

Ensure all reporting and analysis adhere to regulatory, legal, and internal compliance requirements.

Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or revenue operations.

Adaptable and comfortable with fast-changing targets, tools and business priorities.

Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik or similar), pivot tables, advanced formulas and data modeling.

Experience in building demand forecast, revenue projections and scenario models.

Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for nontechnical audiences and presenting at the leadership level of the organization.

Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Comfortable working in a regulated industry with strict compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

Experience with forecasting models or statistical analysis tools (R, Python, SAS).

Background in manufacturing, consumer goods, or other compliance sensitive sectors.

Familiarity with ERP systems.

Experience and knowledge of the shooting sports industry / outdoor sports industry.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
