Job description

Job Summary:
Kelso Industries is a company with over 3,500 employees dedicated to delivering exceptional HVAC and mechanical solutions. They are seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to support data-driven decision-making by building and maintaining scalable reporting and data pipelines, focusing on Domo as their core BI platform.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain scalable dashboards, dataflows, and datasets in Domo.
• Manage connectors, pipelines, and platform administration (access, governance, performance).
• Establish and maintain trusted, business-ready datasets.
• Integrate data across systems using APIs, connectors, and automated pipelines.
• Transform and model data using Power Query (M language), Domo (Magic ETL/SQL), and other tools.
• Ensure reliable, efficient data flow and troubleshoot pipeline issues.
• Analyze large datasets to deliver actionable insights for Finance, Operations, and leadership.
• Support reporting on key financial and operational metrics (e.g., revenue, margin, utilization).
• Translate business needs into scalable reporting and data solutions.
• Leverage Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Python (preferred) for reporting, analysis, and automation.
• Reduce manual reporting through scalable, repeatable data processes using AI where possible.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
• Maintain documentation, definitions, and governance standards for datasets.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field of study.
• Hands-on experience with Domo (dashboarding, ETL/dataflows, dataset management).
• Strong experience with Power Query (M language) for data transformation and automation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources using APIs, connectors, or ETL tools.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting Finance or FP&A teams with financial and operational reporting.
• Experience with building and supporting AI analytic tools.
• Familiarity with key financial metrics (revenue, margin, forecasting, etc.).
• Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or API interaction.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and modern data integration patterns.
• Exposure to data warehousing or cloud data platforms.
• Experience integrating data from ERP, HCM, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
• Experience in construction, field services, or project-based environments is a plus.
