Key Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will perform any number of the following:
Financial & Strategic Analysis
  • Create, interpret, and analyze financial statements, models, and other financial data to support decision making.
  • Conduct analysis in areas such as:
    • Department performance
    • Profitability and product/loan performance
    • Cost analysis
    • Pricing and valuation
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Financial modeling and scenario analysis
    • KPI reporting and ad-hoc analytics
  • Evaluate business transactions, planning cycle activities, and financial outcomes with clear, concise analysis.

Incentive Compensation Analytics
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on financial metrics that drive incentive compensation plans.
  • Analyze plan performance, model payout impacts, ensure compliance with policies, and provide insights to leadership.
  • Partner with business units to support design, implementation, and administration of incentive programs for large employee populations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with leaders across finance, business lines, business intelligence, and affiliates.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment between financial strategies and business objectives.

Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Drive business process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
  • Identify data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, or incentive compensation.
  • Experience in financial services or mid-to-large financial institutions preferred.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop financial models and produce accurate, well-structured reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences-from front-line bankers to executives.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in deadline-driven environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong initiative and drive for continuous improvement.

Technical Proficiency
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; strong PowerPoint and Word capabilities.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Business Objects, or Python highly preferred.
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase, SmartView, Financial Reporting Studio, or similar planning/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools desirable.
