POSITION SUMMARY:        

We are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Strategic Pricing team and play a key role in driving profitable growth through data-driven pricing strategies. In this role, you will help shape pricing decisions that support revenue expansion, margin optimization, and a strong competitive position in the marketplace. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and IT to translate complex data into actionable insights and ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and measured.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical expertise with commercial acumen and a strategic mindset. They are a trusted partner who can influence stakeholders across the business, turning insights into recommendations that drive meaningful business outcomes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute on pricing strategies to support business objectives and profitability targets 
  • Analyze competitive benchmarks, customer behavior, market dynamics, and cost structures to inform pricing decisions 
  • Create pricing targets and establish performance benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies 
  • Lead various pricing cycles, including price book rollouts, customer specific price renewal analysis, and troubleshoot issues across system integrations 
  • Perform cross-channel and customer segmentation pricing analysis 
  • Develop pricing recommendations across the product lifecycle, including NPI pricing 
  • Evaluate deal-level pricing strategies to optimize margins and financial outcomes 
  • Leverage SQL and Python to structure and analyze large datasets for pricing optimization 
  • Automate pricing recommendation, standardization, and process improvements 
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support pricing analytics, performance tracking, and executive reporting; comfortable operating as a Power BI developer supporting end users and leadership 
  • Ad hoc evaluation of pricing requests, discounts, and deal-based pricing scenarios 
  • Monitor pricing compliance and adherence to corporate pricing policies and governance frameworks 
  • Prepare executive-ready insights, reports, and recommendations on pricing performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced SQL experience building and optimizing complex queries, joins, and data transformations across large, relational datasets 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel  
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven recommendations 
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills 
  • Hands-on experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems (e.g. SFDC, Model N) 
  • Broad understanding of end-user applications and AE products; familiarity with power supplies or semiconductor equipment is a plus but not required 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders 
  • Develop Python-based solutions to extract and analyze competitor data from APIs and other data sources (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization (preferred)

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of pricing, commercial analytics, or finance experience 
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or B2B business environments 
  • Experience with price book management, discount governance, and pricing approval frameworks 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pricing, Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field 

COMPENSATION:                            

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
