Job description

Banyan Software is the best permanent home for software businesses that serve specialized industries, their employees, and their customers. We are on a mission to acquire, build, and grow great companies worldwide, helping them modernize through shared AI expertise and operational discipline. The Banyan Software Foundation, endowed with $100 million in Banyan stock, leverages technology to build a greener and more equitable world. Banyan is Great Place to Work Certified, a five-time Inc. 5000 honoree, and a top 10 company on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Atlanta, Banyan operates more than 100 portfolio companies across North America, the UK, EU, and APAC.

About the Role

Banyan Software is seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Manager, FP&A to help build the next generation of our financial planning and analysis capabilities. This is a role for someone energized by the opportunity to shape how AI and automation transform the way financial insights are created, communicated, and operationalized across a rapidly expanding, global, and decentralized portfolio.

Reporting into FP&A leadership, you will combine strong analytical rigor with a builder's mindset—rolling up your sleeves to design scalable processes and modern tooling while helping translate complex financial signals into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is excited about the future of finance and wants to be at the forefront of using AI to make FP&A faster, smarter, and more impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the end-to-end budget and forecasting process, ensuring it is efficient, transparent, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Build and enhance forecasting models, including scenario planning and sensitivity analyses, to improve accuracy, speed, and decision quality.
  • Help maintain a consistent planning cadence across decentralized Operating Groups while preserving local ownership.

AI, Automation & Systems

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate recurring reporting, forecasting, and analytical workflows using AI and modern tooling.
  • Leverage NetSuite and connected BI tools to strengthen data integrity, streamline workflows, and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with technology teams and vendors to pilot and scale AI-driven forecasting and reporting capabilities.
  • Help establish and enforce standards for data consistency, KPI definitions, and reporting hygiene across the portfolio.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare clear, timely, and actionable management reporting across customer, product, and market dimensions.
  • Deepen visibility into unit economics, retention, profitability, and other key performance drivers.
  • Deliver forward-looking analysis that surfaces trends, risks, and opportunities to enable faster, more informed decisions.

Business Partnership

  • Build trusted relationships with Operating Group leaders and HQ stakeholders, translating financial data into insights that drive performance.

Qualification for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA, CPA, or MBA a plus.
  • 4+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in high-growth and/or multi-entity software environments.
  • Demonstrated interest in and experience with AI tools, automation, or BI platforms to improve financial processes.
  • Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a decentralized environment and can dive into complexity while driving practical outcomes.
