Job description

The McLean Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Valuation Analyst/Associate to join its Valuation Advisory team in Tysons Corner, VA. The individual will play an instrumental role in delivering comprehensive valuation support to a diverse client base across a diverse range of industries. This includes valuing companies, complex securities, and intangible assets for purposes such as financial reporting, tax compliance, equity incentive plans, transaction advisory, and litigation support. This position offers the opportunity to gain extensive experience in complex financial analysis and valuation methodologies, directly impacting strategic decision-making for clients and contributing to the success of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform In-Depth Valuation Analyses: Execute comprehensive valuations utilizing diverse financial models and approaches, including, but not limited to, discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiple analyses (public company and precedent transactions), and option-pricing models.
  • Conduct Thorough Research: Lead in-depth research and analysis of companies, industries, competitors, and market data to inform valuation assumptions and conclusions.
  • Develop Valuation Reports: Prepare valuation reports and presentations that effectively communicate methodologies, assumptions, and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client Engagement: Interact directly with C-level executives and key stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle, including conducting client site visits.
  • Contribute to Thought Leadership: Analyze valuation-related topics and trends, preparing reports or publications to share insights with clients and the broader market.

Requirements
