Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The FP&A Analyst holds an important role on Seacoast’s financial planning team and is responsible for the successful completion of various corporate and departmental projects focused heavily on budget, line of business performance management, merger and acquisition activities, systems implementations and conversions and various other initiatives as applicable. A qualified candidate should exhibit strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to lead team members through project tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
  • Provides in-depth Line of Business budgeting and monthly forecasting support, establishing timelines for completion and supports the presentation of results regularly to executive management
  • Provides support for completion of the annual budget, quarterly forecast and the three-year strategic planning process
  • Uses and/or develops financial models to direct future business ventures, new products, strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Review reports on historical and future trends in performance and returns to determine appropriate paths for financial development
  • Prepares accurate board and management reporting, company metrics and competitive benchmarking
  • Develops profitability metrics and KPIs to provide a benchmark for a future line of business growth
  • Support the Bank’s M&A activity, including due diligence, forecasting and post-close analytics
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • To perform this job successfully; an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, Master’s preferred
  • 2 years of related experience with financial institutions in Finance/Accounting required, FP&A specific experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Query and Project skills required
  • Ability to extract and analyze data from various sources required
  • SQL, MySQL and Project Management skills preferred
