Job Description Metro Enforcement is a leading security company in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for an Accounting Assistant. This individual will work closely with the Director of Finance, Director of Human Resources and Security Officers. The primary job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Timely processing of weekly payroll Verifies payroll accuracy for approximately 100 hourly employees Maintains effective internal controls and proactively works to improve processes Manages time report receipt and integration for accuracy and makes edits as needed Weekly invoicing Manage monitoring accounts Maintain security contracts Collection of open receivables Assist the Director of Finance with other accounting related functions Assist the Director of Human Resources with processing new hires Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Accounting/Business Administration preferred, but not required. 3+ years in Accounting and processing payroll. Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be proficient in QuickBooks. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Must be able to multitask. Strong work ethic and team oriented. Must be willing to assist other departments. Be able to handle confidential information. Possess excellent sound judgement and is able to make reasonable decisions without direction. Excellent time management skills. Hours/Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, per week (additional hours may be needed on occasion)Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am-04:30 pm and occasional Saturdays.
