Job description

Director of Facilities & Financ

Chick-fil-A Gateway — Springfield, OR

\Be part of Lane County's Most Caring Company — where great food is only the beginning.\

Why this role matters

Our equipment is starting to age out of warranty. Our books are getting more complex. We need someone to own both sides of the back office — the building and the financial operations — so that the operations team can focus on guests and team members.

What you'll get to do:

Lead

  • Build and lead a team of two managers: Facilities & Equipment, and Finance & Payroll
  • Sit on the leadership team alongside the Service, Production, Talent, and Sales directors

Maintain

  • Own the equipment lifecycle from preventive maintenance through capital replacement
  • Own major vendor relationships across HVAC, refrigeration, hood and fire suppression, IT, banking, and insurance
  • Own financial operations including payroll execution, AP, monthly close support, and the systems behind them
  • Own compliance and risk: OSHA, Oregon labor law, food safety infrastructure, insurance renewals, AHA

Optimize

  • Build the department scorecard and report it to the leadership team weekly
  • Hold R&M cost as a percentage of sales within industry benchmark
  • Catch wage drift, overtime accumulation, and rate-change errors before they show up in a quarterly review
  • Plan capital decisions and major vendor strategy on multi-year horizons

About this seat

Most of your wins will be quiet. The fryer that didn't go down at lunch. The audit that came back clean. The payroll that ran correctly. The candidates who do well in seats like this are people who find that kind of work satisfying on its own.

Who you are

  • Strongly preferred backgrounds: Restaurant operations with a systems orientation, commercial property or facility management in food service or hospitality, compliance or audit work with people-leadership experience, or industrial maintenance leadership
  • Leads, manages, and holds direct reports accountable to scorecards while developing them
  • Comfortable reading a P&L and asking good questions
  • Comfortable knowing what to ask a vendor on a service call
  • Aligned with our core values: Service, Growth, Fun, Community, Excellence
  • Able to commit to a Full-Time director schedule with visible building presence (no Sundays)

What's in it for you

  • Starting at $30/hour with monthly bonus opportunities tied to scorecard performance
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
  • Up to $25K in annual scholarships and leadership travel to the CFA Support Center in Atlanta
  • Sundays off, free shift meals, and a people-first culture
  • A director seat on a leadership team that operates with shared accountability

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

\Food is essential to life; therefore, make it good.\ — S. Truett Cathy
