What you will do:

  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decision-making, keeping management in the loop on recommendations for ongoing improvements.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations, also following management-directed checks and balances protocols for data integrity and accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial plans and budgets by collaborating with business units and functional teams.
  • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to risk management initiatives by implementing controls, monitoring risk exposures, and assisting in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize financial systems and tools effectively to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve efficiency in financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures by assisting in the coordination of regular audits and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams, such as operations, sales, and marketing, to gather financial information, provide insights, and support business initiative

Through the FLDP, participants build a strong foundation in business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities. The program includes three one-year rotations focused on financial planning and analysis, data analytics, and data visualization. This immersive experience equips participants with the skills and insights needed to thrive in a dynamic, purpose-driven organization.

The Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is a foundational pipeline designed to cultivate the next generation of finance leaders. Successful candidates exhibit a passion for finance, intellectual curiosity, and a drive for excellence. They are ambitious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous development.

Locations and Relocation: CVS Health follows a hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues with the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that need to move over 50 miles.
Required Qualifications

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section)

  • Willingness to relocate for one-year rotations. FLDPs will work in office locations in Hartford, CT, Cumberland, RI, and Northbrook, IL

  • Interest in building a long-term career in Corporate Finance at CVS Health

  • Technical skills with reporting, database and visualization using tools such as Excel, VBA, Access, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL

  • Must have successfully completed CVS Health Corporate Internship Program

  • Transferable leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, school projects or at work

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to solve complex problems or tasks


Education

  • Anticipated completion of bachelor's degree program by start date or equivalent experience.

  • Have a major, minor, concentration, or work experience relevant to the position. Examples include Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics or similar majors

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
