This position provides the right candidate with a unique opportunity to join the Schwab Technology Services Finance team. The team serves as a strategic business partner, providing financial insights, planning, and analysis to support decision-making and drive operational excellence. This role will lead performance analysis for key technology functions, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
What you are good at:
  • Lead processes to integrate KPIs and operational metrics into financial reporting across the STS FP&A team
  • Create reporting solutions and champion adoption of Technology Business Management framework and Total Cost of Ownership data across STS FP&A team
  • Partner with subject matter experts across the organization to improve total cost of ownership view of Schwab's technology costs
  • Assist with forecasting STS Next transformation programs and FP&A support of STS Business Operations and Enterprise Transformation as needed
  • Assist with Internally Developed Software capitalization processes as needed
  • Work cross-functionally to drive sustainable and efficient forecasting improvement efforts, including enhancements to financial systems
  • Maintain sound risk management and control environment for work product
  • Perform ad hoc analysis related to understanding business and client trends and their expense impact

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance
  • Proactive, self-starter, able to manage and deliver multiple projects and succeed in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment with minimal direction
  • Ability to logically structure analytical problems and use critical reasoning skills to evaluate financial forecasts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Comfortable partnering with peers and management and to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Financial planning and scenario modeling experience is important.
  • Experience with financial services industry is a plus.
  • Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and strong knowledge of financial systems (IBM Planning Analytics and PeopleSoft Financials)
