Job description

About the Role:
CBRE is seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join our team onsite in Salt Lake City, supporting one of the world's leading financial institutions. In this leadership role, you will oversee critical engineering and facility operations, ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of building systems within a complex corporate environment.
You will lead a skilled team of engineering professionals, manage maintenance operations, optimize asset performance, and partner closely with client stakeholders to deliver exceptional operational outcomes.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team responsible for engineering, maintenance, and facility operations.
  • Coordinate daily engineering activities, workforce scheduling, task assignments, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and technical service providers to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
  • Drive preventive maintenance strategies and support asset management programs.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to support operational changes, facility projects, and business requirements.
  • Monitor engineering performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement operational efficiencies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and management of maintenance and operational expenditures while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering operations, facilities management, or a related technical leadership role.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teams within a facilities or operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems maintenance programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service delivery performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
