The Role

We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Manager who will help bring structure, insight, and strategic thinking to our financial operations as we continue to scale.

This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. This role reports directly to the Founder and works closely with leadership to support financial strategy and operational decision-making.

What You’ll Do

Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping across company accounts

  • Prepare and manage monthly P&L statements

  • Monitor cash flow, runway, and financial health

  • Build financial forecasts and scenario planning models

  • Assist leadership with budget planning and budget vs. actual reporting

  • Create financial dashboards and KPI reporting

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency

Accounting Operations

  • Manage invoicing, collections, and payment tracking

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial systems

  • Maintain financial documentation and internal controls

  • Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation

Strategic Finance Support

  • Help leadership evaluate new hires, investments, and major expenses

  • Support annual planning and forecasting cycles

  • Assist with long-term financial planning

  • Build financial models that support business decision-making

  • Assist in long term, sell-side readiness

HR & Payroll Coordination

  • Manage payroll coordination

  • Assist with benefits administration

  • Support compensation planning with leadership

  • Track PTO, employee status, and HR systems (ADP)

Operations & Systems

  • Improve financial systems, reporting, and automation

  • Maintain internal finance and HR processes

  • Coordinate budgets with department leads

  • Assist with vendor payments and contract management

  • Forecast and track total budgets for events, travel, and client work

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years experience in finance, accounting, or operations

  • Experience with bookkeeping and financial reporting

  • Comfortable managing P&Ls, forecasting, and financial models

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Experience with accounting tools (QuickBooks, Wise, or similar)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Experience supporting HR operations is a plus

CPA (Preferred)

  • CPA strongly favored but not required

  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a strong plus

  • Company may support CPA licensing through compensation increases or bonuses

Work Structure

First 90 Days – Probationary Period

  • In-office Monday–Thursday

After 90 Days (Upon Successful Review)

  • Full benefits eligibility

  • Hybrid schedule:

    • Work from home Tuesday & Friday

    • In-office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
