Overview
As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will be given a unique opportunity to help drive and coordinate the strategic vision across Paychex. This role will provide analytical support to help frame complex and ambiguous issues, conduct competitive analyses using market data, create financial models, and develop communication materials to help refine "where to play" and "how to win" elements of strategy. Additionally, the Corporate Strategy analyst will partner with key stakeholders in Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to refine and execute the overall Paychex strategy. You will be exposed to all parts of the business with room for advancement into other parts of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Provide thought partnership to business partners and Senior Executives on a broad range of business-critical topics
  • Analyze business performance on daily basis to identify Issues/Opportunities that are highlighted by data
  • Support the scoping, opportunity sizing, and feasibility of new strategic initiatives - including the development of business cases and scenario planning
  • Monitor & research industry trends; analyze 3rd party market data for market & competitive intelligence
  • Develop financial models that help with decision-making
  • Perform deep dive analytics on our strategy to assess opportunities and develop contingencies to our strategy.
  • Creation of slides and decks to communicate frameworks and recommendations
  • Establishes, maintains, and optimizes process for data extraction, prioritization, and delivery of reporting and analysis requests, including creation and updates to standardized reporting packages.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management or Strategy - Required
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Management or Strategy - Preferred
  • 2 years of experience in Corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, strategy consulting, finance, or related experience.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $73,200 - $115,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
