Job description

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Financial Analyst supports Safran Federal Systems by helping drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and program execution. This role works closely with Program Management as well as FP&A, Accounting, and Business Systems to ensure data integrity, support project performance, and contribute to reliable financial planning.

Safran Federal Systems provides Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations and their contractors. Safran Federal Systems is authorized to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects, in addition to supporting strategic partnerships for key defense PNT technologies.
How I will Contribute:
The Financial Analyst performs a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide financial support to programmatic efforts, partnering closely with Program Management to track costs, funding, and overall project performance
  • Assist with the financial aspects of B&P/Pricing efforts
  • Work collaboratively with FP&A, Accounting, and Business Systems to ensure accurate and timely financial data within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends and support business decision-making
  • Utilize BI tools (Power BI) to maintain and improve dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting
  • Provide cost center reporting, analysis, and commentary
  • Support evaluations of budgets, historical expenditures, and forecasts
  • Recommend process improvements or cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare financial insights and summaries for senior management
  • Contribute to financial modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis as needed

What You Bring to Safran Federal Systems:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or another related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant analytical or financial experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skillset
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI strongly preferred
  • Solid Excel skills; advanced capabilities are a plus
  • Ability to solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and work cross-functionally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Program finance experience or exposure is a plus
