Job description

LHH is actively seeking a Financial Analyst skilled in Manufacturing Finance and preferably Oracle Fusion for one of our top clients in Aerospace and Defense! This will be a long-term contract opportunity and will report onsite to the client's office in Ashville, OH.
About the Team
The Manufacturing Finance team supports the financial performance of a high-volume, multi-product manufacturing operation. We partner across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, and Corporate Finance to provide financial insights that drive operational excellence and informed business decisions.
Our team plays a critical role in analyzing manufacturing costs, production performance, resource allocation, and product profitability to help the business achieve its financial objectives.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Financial Analyst with at least 5 years of manufacturing finance, FP&A, or cost accounting experience to join our Manufacturing Finance team. This is a fully onsite position supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In this role, you'll serve as a strategic business partner to plant leadership, supporting multiple products and programs simultaneously. You'll provide financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and decision support that enables operational leaders to optimize performance, manage costs, and meet financial commitments.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, thrives in a manufacturing environment, builds strong cross-functional relationships, and is comfortable presenting financial results and recommendations to both operational teams and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end financial reporting for multiple manufacturing functions, including:
    • Headcount planning
    • Cash flow and working capital
    • Plant and product profitability
    • Variance analysis
    • Site performance reporting
  • Support monthly close activities, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis, including:
    • Actual vs. budget/forecast variance analysis
    • Trend analysis
    • Scenario modeling
    • Root-cause investigations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate make-versus-buy decisions and other strategic business scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that support operational planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Improve visibility into manufacturing costs while enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of site reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Cost Accounting, and Manufacturing teams to consolidate revenue and cost models and support business case development.
  • Establish standardized financial processes and documentation for areas such as scrap, rework, and financial reporting.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement continuous process improvements independently and in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Present financial performance, risks, and recommendations to business leaders and senior management.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance, FP&A, or Cost Accounting within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, cost accounting, manufacturing operations, and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to perform complex financial analysis and translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience developing financial models, business cases, and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing leadership.
  • Comfortable presenting to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
