Job description

Meadow Gold Dairy is a part of Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. DFA manufactures a variety of dairy products, including cheese, butter, fluid milk, ice cream, dairy ingredients and more, under well-known and established regional brands. Meadow Gold Dairy in Boise, ID is hiring a Filler Operator position.
Shift Monday-Friday 10pm-6am
Progressive Wage Rates:
0-6 months from date of hire The rate=$22.35
6-12 months from date of hire The rate=$23.66
12+ months full rate of pay=$26.29
The Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.
โ€ข Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
โ€ข Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
โ€ข Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
โ€ข Make adjustments to filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed.
โ€ข Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
โ€ข Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing.
โ€ข Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
โ€ข Will have working knowledge and experience with labeler operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime due to error.
โ€ข Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
โ€ข Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
โ€ข Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
โ€ข Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
โ€ข Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
โ€ข Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
โ€ข Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
โ€ข Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
โ€ข Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
โ€ข Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
โ€ข Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
โ€ข Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned.

โ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
โ€ข 6 months related experience required.
โ€ข Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
โ€ข Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull for virtually the entire shift.
โ€ข Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.
โ€ข Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
โ€ข Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
โ€ข Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
โ€ข Effective verbal and written communication skills.
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
โ€ข Must be able to pass all pre*employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
