The Swab Assistant assists rig operator in routine swab rig operating functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists rig operator in routine swab rig operating functions.
  • Complies with company safety procedures ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Follows an established daily maintenance program for the swab rig.
  • Performs the operation of the draw works, assessment of down hole conditions, well pressures.
  • Executes set up, take down, and transportation of swab rig.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months related experience and/or training.
  • Must have valid, active state-issued Class A commercial driver license (CDL); endorsements a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate; speak, understand, read, and write effectively in English.
  • Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions and engage in strenuous physical activity.
