Warehouse Associates & Forklift Operators

Agency: Abacus Corporation – Smyrna Branch (105 Jefferson Street Smyrna TN)

Job Location: Lebanon, TN (Hixon Blvd - Global Logistics Hub)

Are you looking for a clean, climate-controlled work environment? We are hiring for immediate openings for Warehouse Associates and Forklift Operators! This is a great opportunity to work with brand-new technology in a secure, professional setting.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: FBE

All candidates must be Federal Business Enablement (FBE) to gain access to this secure site. This requires a successful completion of the government-mandated screening and verification process.


SHIFT SCHEDULES & COMPENSATION

Shift, Schedule, Pay Range

1st Shift

Mon–Thu (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

$16.50 – $19.00/hr

2nd Shift

Mon–Thu (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM)

$19.50 – $22.00/hr

Weekend (AWS)

Fri–Sun (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

$18.00 – $20.50/hr


ROLE DESCRIPTIONS: SIMPLE & HANDS-ON

  • Forklift Operators (FLO1/2): Safely operate equipment to move and organize inventory throughout our high-volume facility. Must be able to drive cherry picker, reach truck.
  • Technical Assembly (CT1): Work with brand-new laptops! This is simple, basic tech work tasks include unboxing, connecting components, adding/removing parts, and performing quality inspections.
  • General Warehouse (GWH): Straightforward tasks including picking, packing, and sorting.
    • Boxing roles: Primarily standing with some lifting.
    • Stacking roles: Involves manual palletizing with frequent bending and lifting.


GOVERNMENT COMPLIANCE & SITE RULES

This is a high-security facility. All candidates must adhere to the following:

  • Citizenship: Must provide an original Birth Certificate & ID OR a valid US Passport.
  • No Electronics: Personal electronics (phones, smartwatches, tablets) are strictly prohibited inside the warehouse.
  • Professional Initiative: During downtime, employees are expected to stay busy, assist other departments, and maintain an organized workspace.
  • 11-Month Rule: All roles are Temp-to-Hire. Eligibility for permanent hire begins near 11 months of service.


STRICT ATTENDANCE POLICY

We are looking for serious, reliable candidates:

  • First 2 Weeks: Zero call-outs or absences permitted.
  • First 90 Days: Only one (1) call-out permitted.
  • Prior FedEx History: If you have previously worked at any FedEx facility, you must disclose this immediately.


THE 3-PART APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Digital: Apply and complete onboarding paperwork online.
  2. Screening: Pass credentials, FBE screening check, and citizenship verification.
  3. Office Visit (Smyrna): Visit our office for a Safety Evaluation (videos + 15-question test) and a 3-minute oral mouth swab drug screen.
