Job description

We are looking for a FileMaker Solutions Developer to create and enhance business-critical applications that support operations. This role focuses on designing reliable FileMaker-based solutions, connecting key business platforms, and improving the flow of data across manufacturing and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate operational needs into scalable software solutions.


Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain FileMaker solutions that support day-to-day business processes and long-term operational goals.

• Build integrations between FileMaker applications and external platforms, including ERP systems, EDI solutions, web APIs, and other third-party services.

• Create scripts, workflows, and automation features that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and streamline data movement across systems.

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define application enhancements, and deliver effective software solutions.

• Develop and optimize connections with SQL Server and related data sources to ensure reliable reporting and application performance.

• Support manufacturing-related system needs by aligning software functionality with production, order management, and operational workflows.

• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes for integration and platform-related problems.

• Document system logic, integration methods, and development standards to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to enhancement projects involving application modernization, process automation, and connected system improvements across the IT landscape.

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting FileMaker or FileMaker Pro applications in a business environment.
• Hands-on experience working with web APIs, JSON, and scripting for system integration and automation.
• Strong understanding of ERP, EDI, and third-party integration concepts, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including data access, query development, and system connectivity.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional technical solutions and application improvements.
• Experience supporting IT integrations across multiple platforms while maintaining data accuracy and system reliability.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills in a collaborative development environment.
