Job Summary:
Info Way Solutions is seeking an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer to join their team. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining COBOL programs, and providing production support while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze, maintain, and enhance COBOL-based applications with minimal documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve defects across COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS components.
• Provide production support during weeknights/weekends as required.
• Develop and execute JCL scripts for batch processing and scheduling.
• Perform debugging using tools such as Xpeditor, Intertest, and Abend-AID.
• Work closely with Agile teams, participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and technical reviews.
• Create technical documentation, update existing artifacts, and ensure code quality standards are met.
• Handle change management activities using Endevor.
• Perform data/file operations using mainframe utilities such as File Manager, SPUFI, QMF, SYNCSORT, DFSORT.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SOAP UI where required.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8–10 years of hands-on expertise in COBOL programming
• Experience with mainframe systems and production support
• Ability to quickly understand, troubleshoot, and maintain existing COBOL programs with limited documentation
• Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments
