Job description

Position Description Summary/Purpose:

This position provides routine maintenance services to the Goodwin University campus.

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advanced painting, carpentry and plumbing skills
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and HVAC systems and complete repairs
  • Performs advanced preventive building maintenance tasks
  • Moving (furniture, boxes and files).
  • Flexible work hours
  • Ensures all safety procedures are practiced.

Other Functions:

  • Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits
  • Will be required to be on call week in rotation
  • Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends
  • Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Knowledge, Ability and Skill:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education, Training and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least two years working experience in the maintenance field
  • OSHA 10 certification

Special Requirements:

  • Valid CT Drivers license and insured vehicle
  • Lift certification preferred
