Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

Michael Robert Specialty Contractors is seeking an entry level professional who can support our lead technicians on projects. Must possess a strong desire to learn construction trade skills and have an outstanding work ethic. 

HOURS AND PAY PERIOD:

M-F 7am - 3:30pm or as needed to achieve company objectives and fulfill client needs.  There is some travel but rare overnight stays.

Qualified candidates meeting the criteria of employment will be offered a robust starting hourly rate, a company vehicle when deemed ready by the Project Manager as well as a monthly phone stipend for accessing all company data which is cloud-based.

Hourly / Non-Exempt position - pay period: Bi-Weekly

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

This position reports to: Project Manager

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

         Serves existing accounts by completing work orders

         Work closely with the Project Manager to complete the assigned job

        Works safely and smartly by gathering needed tools and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests

         Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications

Qualifications

TRAINING/ EDUCATION / PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS:

        Some experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, carpentry, hydraulic and/or pneumatic fields and the ability to demonstrate proficiency in these areas

         Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment

         Ability to climb in overhead structures, in close quarters and on ladders in both occupied and unoccupied sites.

         Attention to detail in all forms of communication

         Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with little down time (8+ hours at a time)

         Must be able to lift 80+ pounds safely

         Will work with low voltage systems and standard voltage systems

         Frequent use of ladders, scaffolding and lifts to work at heights of 8-60+ feet

         Must be able to travel

        keen interest in the following areas:  Electrical Construction and Maintenance / Carpentry / Plumbing / Masonry / Demolition / Commercial and Residential Construction/ Physical Security.

         Possess fluent knowledge of office technology platforms

         Strong verbal and written communications skills

         Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

         Must be able to safely work at pace

         Must be customer focused
