The primary purpose of the Manager, Field Services, is to build and lead SPX Cooling's global Data Center Field Services organization, ensuring world-class installation, commissioning, warranty, lifecycle service, and aftermarket support for hyperscale and mission-critical customers. This role establishes the operational strategy, technical capabilities, service partner network, and field execution processes necessary to support the rapid growth of the data center business while delivering exceptional customer experience.

The incumbent partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure successful project execution from installation through warranty support. This role develops scalable field service capabilities, standardizes processes, drives continuous improvement, and ensures field operations consistently meet customer, quality, safety, and financial objectives. Success requires strong operational leadership, technical expertise, customer focus, and the ability to build high-performing teams that support a rapidly growing global business.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

  1. Build and lead a scalable Field Services organization supporting installation, commissioning, warranty, and lifecycle service activities.
  2. Develop workforce planning, staffing strategies, and service partner capabilities to support global business growth.
  3. Establish standardized installation, commissioning, warranty, and field service processes that deliver consistent, high-quality execution.
  4. Ensure field operations comply with customer, safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
  5. Lead warranty response activities and coordinate cross-functional resolution of complex technical issues.
  6. Partner with Engineering and Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  7. Develop technician training, certification, and third-party service partner qualification programs.
  8. Establish field service KPIs and performance reporting to improve productivity, responsiveness, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  9. Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, commissioning agents, and internal stakeholders during critical project deployments.
  10. Collaborate with Commercial, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to continuously improve field execution and customer experience.
  11. Support the expansion of preventative maintenance, lifecycle service offerings, and aftermarket growth initiatives.
  12. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness while reducing cost and improving customer outcomes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Construction Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in field service, commissioning, industrial equipment, construction, manufacturing, or mission-critical operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading field service organizations and third-party service providers.
  • Experience developing scalable operational processes and service delivery models.
  • Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, HVAC, cooling systems, industrial equipment, or similar technical products preferred.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale customers or large capital equipment deployments preferred.

CERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
