D&H United Fueling Solutions, Inc. is looking for an energetic, hardworking, and experienced Remote Petroleum Service Technician to join our dynamic team in the Garden City, KS area. What You'll Do:
As a Petroleum Service Technician at D&H United Fueling Solutions, Inc. in Western Kansas area, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Scheduled and Unscheduled Repairs: Perform both scheduled and emergency repairs and maintenance on equipment such as fuel dispensers.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Deliver excellent service in a polite and professional manner, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Safety Standards: Maintain and adhere to high safety standards in all tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily Operations: Take daily directions from the Service Manager or Service Dispatcher regarding the tasks to be performed. Follow D&H United Fueling Solutions service call procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours emergency service requests or other priority situations as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Response Time: Meet specified response time parameters for different types of repairs.
  • Vehicle and Inventory Maintenance: Maintain a company-furnished vehicle and keep an inventory of repair parts.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Training: Complete online and classroom training courses, including regular recertifications.
  • Customer Protocols: Follow all customer protocols and procedures, including safety and housekeeping guidelines, when performing repairs at customer sites.
  • Inventory Communication: Communicate with warehouse personnel to verify inventory and replenish what is needed on the truck.

Additional Gas Station Responsibilities:
  • Fuel Dispenser Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain fuel dispensers, ensuring accurate fuel measurement and dispensing. Replace and calibrate meter assemblies and perform periodic inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Tank and Line Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of underground and above-ground storage tanks and lines for leaks, corrosion, and other issues. Perform pressure testing and leak detection using specialized equipment.
  • Vapor Recovery Systems: Install, maintain, and repair vapor recovery systems to prevent fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. Ensure systems are compliant with environmental regulations.
  • POS and Payment Systems: Troubleshoot and repair point-of-sale (POS) systems and fuel management software. Install and configure new POS terminals and integrate with existing fuel dispensers.
  • Canopy and Signage Maintenance: Maintain and repair canopy lighting, signage, and price displays to ensure visibility and functionality. Replace bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components as needed.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to environmental regulations and safety standards. Perform site assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with gas station owners and managers. Provide training to gas station staff on the proper use and maintenance of fuel dispensing equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: At least 1-year experience in petroleum-related service is preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Strong troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate personal hand tools and properly use a multi-meter.
  • License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Communication: Strong communication and customer relations skills. Basic computer skills.
  • Work Ethic: Good work ethic and professional demeanor.
