Regional Field Service Manager โ€“ Reno Nevada

Full-Time

The Regional Field Service Manager will work directly with the Senior Manager of Network Field Operations to ensure StarTouch network deployment and repairs are carried out in a safe, timely, and orderly fashion. The Regional Field Service Manager will work with Field Service Technicians to carry out the scope of work outlined.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  1. Direct or participate in all work on towers, looking after all aspects of work, ensuring that quality installation has been performed, including cable management, rigging, hoisting, landing, grounding, fastening, loadโ€‘hopping, etc.
  2. Perform service setโ€‘ups/takeโ€‘downsโ€‘maintenance of StarTouch microwave services to StarTouch customers
  3. Perform cabling projects and networking duties at terminal facilities or other job locations
  4. Comply, and direct others to comply, with company standards, policies, safety protocols and bestโ€‘practice industry standards
  5. As directed, perform onโ€‘site supervision of all assigned construction activities defined in the scopeโ€‘ofโ€‘work
  6. Assist in lining out jobs, in detail, with the Field Service Techs, selecting a โ€œproject leadโ€ for each project
  7. Complete daily perโ€‘site field reports and collect daily perโ€‘site Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  8. Review all onโ€‘site closeout documentation for accuracy, completeness and timeliness: submit and upload documentation as required.

-Other miscellaneous jobโ€‘related tasks from time to time.

Essential Job Functions and Requirements
  • Ability to lift/carry approx. 70 pounds (tool boxes, ladders, antennas, cabling, etc.)
  • Ability to perform wireless equipment installations on rooftops, towers, poles, etc.
  • Ability and comfort level to climb communication towers without fear or hesitation (100โ€‘400 ft)
  • Physical ability to assist coโ€‘workers down from tower structure as required by OSHA
  • Availability to travel for overnight trips as needed
  • Comfortable and willing to work in inclement weather (snow, rain, heat, high wind, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drone operation, PC and laptop computers and company software programs
  • Demonstrated ability to program and test microwave radios, routers and equipment
  • Demonstrated skills and ability to perform cabling projects as needed (Cat5, direct burial, etc.)
  • Successfully complete assigned training workshops, online and/or in person
  • Complete series of management training webinars for supervisors provided by the HR Department
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English and communicate clearly and effectively with staff, customers and vendors
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a crew of 4โ€‘8 through time management, organization, communication and follow up
  • Osha 30 certification, OSHA certified for tower climbing
  • First aid certified
  • Bucket truck/lift certification
  • Valid drivers license with annual abstract report verifying insurable driving record
  • Available to work from 7:30 a.m. to 4:p.m. and often longer, as needed Mondayโ€‘Friday with occasional overnight stays. Emergency afterโ€‘hours work may be required.
  • Ability to continually pass random drug screens, initial background check, and ongoing customerโ€‘required background checks
