Position Mission:

To lead, support, and grow the electrical service department by ensuring top-tier customer experiences, safe and code-compliant work, and high-performing field teams.



Same Day Heating & Air Plumbing and Electrical is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential electrical service division. This leadership role is responsible for managing technicians, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining quality standards, and driving departmental performance.


This will be a hybrid role between managing your team as well as working in the field.


Youโ€™ll serve as a mentor and resource to your team, help resolve technical and customer-facing challenges, and coordinate closely with dispatch, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient service delivery.


This position is eligible for a sign on bonus based upon qualifications and experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and develop a team of residential service electricians and apprentices
  • Oversee daily scheduling, performance, and job completion
  • Conduct jobsite visits, provide hands-on technical guidance, and ensure code compliance
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure a positive service experience
  • Monitor departmental KPIs (revenue, ticket averages, job completion rates, callbacks, etc.)
  • Support technician training, licensing, safety practices, and growth
  • Coordinate with dispatch, sales, and warehouse for job prep, follow-up, and execution
  • Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and compliance with local regulations
  • Foster a team culture rooted in safety, professionalism, and accountability
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Master Electrician License Required
  • 5+ years of experience as a licensed electrician (residential focus preferred)
  • Prior experience in a leadership or field management role
  • Excellent communication and team development skills
  • Working knowledge of the NEC and local code requirements
  • Proficient with job tracking software, service platforms, and mobile tools
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with clean driving record
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
