Job Summary/Company: Our client is seeking an experienced and handsโ€‘on Manager of Field Service Engineers to lead a team supporting the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio/video recording and logging hardware/software solutions for missionโ€‘critical environments. This role combines technical leadership with team managementโ€”ensuring customer systems remain reliable, issues are resolved efficiently, and the team continues to grow in capability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Field Service Engineers responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting A/V recording hardware/software systems (e.g., NICE, Eventide, VALT, and iRecord).
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical issues, balancing technical intervention with customer communication.
  • Provide guidance on system integrations, networking, databases (SQL), and security protocols tied to recording solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in field service processes, tool adoption, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications/Background Profile
  • 5+ years of experience in field service engineering or technical support for recording systems (hardware/software), communications platforms, or enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, or manager).
  • Familiarity with telecom, A/V or other Public Safety technology.
  • Handsโ€‘on familiarity with:
    • Operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
    • Databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
    • Networking (Cisco, firewalls, VPNs)
    • Virtualization (VMware, Hyperโ€‘V)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problemโ€‘solving skills in missionโ€‘critical environments.
