CareConnect was founded in 2013 and offers a variety of plans for individuals, families and businesses. CareConnect's network has grown to more than 20,000 providers at hospitals and physician practices throughout downstate New York. 

Job Description

Identifies and participates in the development and implementation of projects and activities to enhance market development business based efforts for the NS-LIJ Health Plan and related products. Leads, guides and provides training to Outreach Specialists and assigned staff.

1. Leads, guides and provides training to Outreach Specialists and assigned staff.

2. Collaborates with Sales department to develop marketing and sales training materials.

3. Participates in the strategic planning for marketing group.

4. Collaborates with Marketing on departmental needs to develop stronger community presence.

5. Collaborates with Network Development and Contracting to develop, maintain and increase enrollment and member satisfaction from all market channels of the North Shore-LIJ Health Plan catchment area.

6. Establishes new and maintains existing relationships with key community organizations and leaders, including but not limited to the Provider community, Social Adult Day Centers (SADC), Home Attendant Agencies (HHAs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Nursing Homes, CHHA's, LHCSA's, FBOs, political leaders, advocacy groups, and the provider community.

7. Educates consumers in the communities served by North Shore-LIJ Health Plan and related products including the benefits of enrolling in our programs.

8. Conducts presentations and educates physicians, social workers, nurses and other health and human service providers about various insurance products including the Managed Long Term Care Plan (MLTCP), Fully Integrated Duals Advantage (FIDA) Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid programs.

9. Provides assistance in the areas of member education classes, health promotion initiatives and data collection and recording.

10. Acts as community services resource for the team.

11. Coordinates and completes special projects, as assigned.

12. Ensures marketing materials are compliant with Department of Health and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulatory standards.

13. Ensures marketing events and publicity efforts are documented and communicated through the Health Plan Management System on the month prior to the scheduled event.

14. Performs other related duties, as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field, required.

Minimum of 2 (two) years Managed Medicare / Medicaid sales OR community outreach experience AND prior experience marketing to a culturally diverse target population, required.

Valid driver's license, required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications.

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills, required.

French Creole, Arabic, or Russian languages in high demand.
