As a Fiber Splicer Supervisor at Velox, you oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of fiber splicing activities, ensuring the successful deployment, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. This role involves overseeing the team of fiber splicers, ensuring adherence to quality standards, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities include:
Team Management:
  • Supervise, train, and mentor fiber splicing technicians and subcontractors.
  • Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Project Oversight:
  • Plan and coordinate fiber splicing activities for installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve challenges.

Technical Oversight:
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic connections using tools like OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers.
  • Perform hands-on fiber splicing and manage complex splicing configurations when required.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular quality checks on splicing work to maintain high standards.
