Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fiber OSP Project Coordinator / Long Haul Permit Specialist to support large-scale Long Haul fiber projects. This role requires a strong background in OSP engineering, permit coordination, utility collaboration, and long haul fiber infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting project execution from design review through permitting, maintenance coordination, and dispute resolution.
This position will work closely with engineering teams, utilities, municipalities, and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of fiber network projects while maintaining compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate Long Haul (LH) fiber projects from planning through execution
  • Manage project activities related to utilities, permitting, engineering coordination, and field support
  • Utilize AT&T systems supporting Long Haul projects, including GMO and related platforms
  • Review Long Haul OSP CAD designs and provide feedback for constructability and permitting readiness
  • Coordinate permit submissions with municipalities, utilities, railroads, and other agencies
  • Track permit approvals, rejections, revisions, and project timelines
  • Collaborate with OSP Engineering teams and field personnel to resolve design and construction issues
  • Support maintenance activities and assist with dispute resolution related to fiber infrastructure projects
  • Ensure project documentation, records, and reporting are maintained accurately
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Long Haul Fiber or Telecommunications projects
  • Strong project management and coordination experience within telecom or utility environments
  • Working knowledge of AT&T systems supporting Long Haul projects (GMO and related systems preferred)
  • OSP Engineering knowledge with field experience
  • Experience reviewing OSP CAD designs for fiber projects
  • Permit coordination and submission experience for telecom infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of utility coordination, maintenance processes, and dispute resolution
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting AT&T Long Haul fiber programs
  • Previous experience working with municipalities and utility companies
  • Familiarity with telecom construction and permitting regulations
  • Knowledge of fiber network deployment processes and OSP construction standards
