Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Cost Estimating Specialist will be working closely with New Market Development, Network Planning, Commercial Sales, Fiber Design and Construction to assist in new opportunities. Projects will require facilitation from various departments to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Collaborate with senior staff, management, and engineers to verify proper schematics before construction
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to analyze the past projects to estimate future project costs
  • Organize incoming new market requests and estimate/model new residential/commercial/MDU opportunities
  • Research existing network for ability to service new markets
  • Coordinate/Lead interdepartmental calls to review new market opportunities and priorities
  • Forecast and analyze costs of construction labor, materials, and indirect costs
  • Support expansion opportunities as needed
  • Manage, organize, and document the status of new market opportunities
  • All other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • ESRI design experience highly preferred
  • Attention to detail required
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field preferred
  • 2 years of equivalent experience in related field
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office product specifically Word and Excel
