Job description

Position Summary
We are hiring a Fiber Optic Laser Operator to support high-volume metal fabrication operations. The operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring fiber laser cutting equipment to produce precision parts that meet quality, safety, and production standards. Hands-on experience with industrial fiber laser systems is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate fiber optic laser cutting equipment, including job changeovers
  • Monitor laser performance to ensure consistent quality, accuracy, and production efficiency
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify parts meet specifications
  • Adjust machine parameters to maintain tolerances and minimize scrap
  • Complete production and quality documentation, including run data and inspection records
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment while supporting team production goals
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Hands-on experience operating fiber optic laser cutting equipment required
  • Experience with one or more of the following laser brands required: Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, Mazak (or similar industrial fiber laser systems)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with measurements, tolerances, and inspection tools
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety standards
  • Must pass a math test
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
  • Pay rate is $19.00 per hour
  • Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
  • Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Mandatory overtime every other Saturday
