  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
  • Verify material type, thickness, and job requirements
  • Inspect first-piece and in-process parts to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment
  • Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality
  • Troubleshoot cutting, setup, and machine-related issues
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized
  • Work closely with programmers, engineering, quality, and other shop personnel
  • Accurately complete job travelers and production documentation
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures

  • Experience using standard precision measuring equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to perform setups and changeovers with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working with frequent job changes and varying part quantities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • TRUMPF 5-axis laser systems
  • TRUMPF TruLaser Cell equipment
  • TRUMPF fiber laser technology
  • TRUMPF programming/software
  • Cutting formed or three-dimensional sheet metal components
  • Automotive prototype sheet metal
  • Low-volume production and prototype fabrication
