Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary Range: $57,500 - $60,000

What you'll do
  • Supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians
  • Coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.
  • Coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.
  • Develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.
  • Assist in recruitment and training efforts.
  • Assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staff
  • Establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents
  • Perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues found
  • Interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work
  • Perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.
  • Perform other duties not listed here, as they arise, and as they are assigned to you

What you'll need
  • Minimum of 1 year fiber optic or cable installation experience.
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Must live within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Available to work a very flexible schedule.
  • Able to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and last-minute changes
  • Must have exceptional customer service experiences
  • Former supervisory experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
    Physical abilities & exposures
    Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than up to 55 pounds without assistance.
    Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
